Beijing Highmesh Information Technology Co., LTD. (referred to as Highmesh Information, Highmesh) , which was founded in July 2008, is a high-tech enterprise jointly founded by scholars returning from the United States and faculty members and graduates from renowned domestic universities such as Tsinghua University and Beihang University. The company is in the core area of Zhongguancun, Haidian District, Beijing. The main business of the company is the development, research, production, sales and technical support of the Universal Software Radio Peripheral platform (Highmesh USRP series products).
In September 2008, Highmesh launched the Highmesh USRP series of universal software radio product, which is currently the first domestically produced cognitive radio development platform in China that supports GNU Radio. Highmesh is also the most widely used supplier of universal software radio products domestically, which are fully compatible with similar products like USRP from foreign countries, while surpassing them in many key performances , but priced lower.
Highmesh's customers not only cover the communication majors of nearly 50 domestic universities such as Tsinghua University, Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications, Southeast University, Xidian University, Wuhan University, Huazhong University of Science and Technology, South China University of Technology, as well as more than 20 research institutes such as Institute of Computing, Institute of Acoustics, Institute of Software, Institute of Automation, Shanghai Advanced Research Institute, Shenzhen Institute of Advanced Technology, Chinese Academy of Sciences, etc. It also covers government scientific research institutions such as the State Radio Monitoring Center and CTTL, widely used in the teaching and research of the majority of scientific researchers, graduate students and undergraduates. Based on its own USRP product series, combined with the open source GNU Radio community, OpenBTS community and OSSIE, the company has developed a series of new SDR products, including HM-USRP1 base station, HM-USRP2 air interface scanning tool, Highmesh USRP teaching experiment platform, GSM-R air interface monitoring.Various management and control applications, emergency communications, and customized services using USRP for many enterprises.. Currently, well-known companies such as Huawei in Shenzhen, Bell in Shanghai, Xiamen Meiya Pico, China AutoSoft Technologies in Beijing, and Lenovo are using Highmesh USRP for research and development in cognitive radio, RFID, and Internet of Things related fields. Highmesh is striving to work with customers to further expand the application areas and products of open-source software-defined radio, to achieve freedom and openness in the radio field.
Of particular note, the Highmesh USRP product series has been widely applied in the national major scientific and technological projects "Next Generation Wireless Communication Network". It has also been used in projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation and the 863/973 Program, greatly facilitating researchers and providing affordable experimental equipment assurance for the smooth implementation of national projects.
